Good menu selections. They even had gluten free selections. The meatloaf sandwich was very good. So was the chicken Parmesan. Nice surprise of a place after shopping at Tanger Outlets.

Good menu selection and atmosphere. The beer-battered fish was pretty good, as was the salmon (although some of my companion's veggies got overcooked). Very attentive service. Seems like a good neighborhood place for a quick and cheap bite to eat!

My favorite place in this area to get a solid meal and enjoy a couple of drinks. The food is always dependable and good and the portions are generous for a low price. Service has always been good, except for one person there, and the owners are very nice and will always try to accommodate reasonable requests. Also, they have one of the best long islands in the area!

We ate here for dinner and we were very pleased with the food and the service. When we walked in we were quickly seated as the place a empty for a Monday night. Our waitress was extremely pleasant and very helpful. Our appetizers came fairly quick, maybe 10minutes at most after ordering. Our main dishes came out shortly after that. There was no long wait. We started off with appetizers as they are 1/2 off on Mondays. We tried the fried zucchini and cheese sticks. These were OK. The zucchini is cut thin but in huge slabs(the length of a whole zucchini). The marinara sauce was mediocre. Because this place is known for their wings I ordered some. (Mondays you can get all you can eat wings for $12) I ordered breadless lemon pepper garlic wings ($5.95/6 wings) These wings were to die for! I am a chicken wing lover and I order these whenever we eat out. I LOVE wings! These wings were fried to perfection. Crispy on the outside and moist and juice on the inside. It was full of flavor as well! I will definitely go back for more wings. You can order your wings with whatever flavor you want. They have dry spices or wet rubs. I also ordered the honey salmon ($12.95) The fish was cooked to perfection. It was nice and moist. The cauliflower on the plate tasted like it may have been previously frozen. Other than that this dish was delicious. My husband ordered chicken pesto pizza. He raved about it and said the crust tasted homemade and it tasted like the pizza was cooked in a brick over. My son had the kids spaghetti ($4.95). All I could get out of it was "it tasted good." However, he did eat almost his whole plate. All in all we were very pleased with Beechies and will definitely be back.

This was our first time at Beechies - we don't often find ourselves in this area of the Burgh. It's tough to tell whether this is a restaurant or just a bar from the outside and parking was tight. We ended up parking on the side of the alley in the back. Waking inside is like taking a step back in time but, despite the outdated decor, it was very welcoming. The employees greeted us immediately and we saw several other families with young children seated around the restaurant. We ordered wings, a burger, and a calzone. They were happy to add some extra hot to my hot wings. The wings were definitely the winner of the meal - much larger than I had anticipated and nicely breaded. I was pleased that the 'hot sauce' was actually hot! Many other places barely pass for medium. By the time we had finished the wings, I wondered if I would have room for the rest of the meal. The burger was nothing memorable - a fairly standard bacon cheeseburger that one might expect from a diner. It lacked the personality that you find from some of the specialty burgers around the city. Similarly, my wife's calzone was "good" but not spectacular. We only ran into one service issue - Beechies does not accept their Yelp check in offer for 10% off a menu item. All in all, it would have only been a dollar discount, so I was surprised they refused. Beyond that, everyone was friendly and welcoming and we had no other service related complaints. When it comes down to it - I could go back here for the wings but probably wouldn't order much else.

Great wait staff and the food was very good. Mojo Pork was tasty as were the seasonal desserts. Nice selections on the regional taps as well. Definitely worth a drop in!

I've been a regular here ever since I was a little girl - long enough that I remember when an enormous hunk of beef known as the Italian Cheeseburger was still on the menu. Man, I miss that... It used to be that Beechies never disappointed with its upscale bar quality food. I think once upon a time Beechies would've gotten 4 stars from me. These days, it's a 3 - a 2 on its absolute worst days. The service is hit or miss depending on who you have and the day of the week; the food is often the same way. Sometimes you get a heaping plat of delicious goodness, and other days...you don't. But hey, when they get it right, they really do get it right, and with a decent variety on the menu in terms of options - soups, salads (loaded with fries, of course, this is close enough to Pittsburgh for the trend to have spread here), sandwiches, burgers, pizzas - chances are you can still find something that'll have you leaving feeling content and/or satisfied.

Weird place. Waitress was rude which lost you a star but food was outstanding with large portions.

A good neighborhood restaurant. Basic eats but yummy. The zucchini app was a huge serving & Cobb salad was tasty. Service was extremely friendly. I would recommend.

My boyfriend and I went to Beechies twice. The first time we waited 30 minutes for our food to come out...now, this was understandable as there was a large table of 10 people there when we got there. I ordered some delicious wings and he ordered a calzone that he really enjoyed. We recently had our parents visit and we took them to Beechies, since they were craving wings. Food was good....but this time we waited 40 minutes to get our food!! There were four tables of four in the restaurant beside us. We did not all come at the same time either. My mother in law started to get sick, since she is diabetic, waiting so long to eat. I asked politely for some rolls or something for her while I mentioned that we had been waiting a lonnnng time for our food. I was pointed towards a basket of crackers....I had to go behind the counter and get saltines for her....then we waited ten more minutes. Each time the waitress came back, she forgot sauce, forgot the beer, forgot the side dish. It was embarrassing. The staff needs to learn how to cook for multiple groups at a time and how to be organized. I don't think we will go back, just because the service wasn't very good. Food is great and really fairly priced...but I don't feel like wasting two hours to go out to eat lunch.

My husband and I LOVE Beechie's Place! It's about an hour drive for us to get there but it's always worth it! They have a great staff and a wide variety of menu items. The chef and owners are awesome and eating here is always a fun experience! And, for Shane - I'm not associated with the restaurant. I just happen to really like it. If that bothers you then you have problems.

I've been here two times with my family. They both were 2 star experiences. 3-4 star for food, 1 star for service, averages to 2. First time was for breakfast. The food was well prepared typical breakfast foods. Pancakes were very dry. There was one other table occupied in the place and it took us 45 minutes to get our meals after we ordered. The server was apologetic but there is no excuse for that wait. Poor kitchen management. During this visit the other occupied table was a rowdy group of men who were vulgar and cursing. We were seated on the opposite end of the dining room, but with only two tables occupied, we could still easily hear everything they said. Not the restaurant's fault, but still an unpleasant experience and not what I want my children to sit through and listen to. Second trip was for dinner. The food was really good. My husband got wings and I got a stromboli. While the wait was better, it still felt long. This time was about 30 minutes from when we ordered to when our food was served. Anyone with children will understand that making them wait this long for food creates a miserable experience for all. Prices were really reasonable! If we go back we'd be more likely to order ahead for food to go.

Nice friendly staff, with very average food. Not a bad option in a town that only seems to have chains but don't go thinking it's going to blow your mind.

Simply put, I like the food here and will be back. The first thing I ever had here was the Pesto Burger and having never had pesto before, I really enjoyed it. I hope to get a group from work to go here again in the near future.

  • Shane O.

I will bump them up to 3 stars as whoever is associated with the establishment and observant enough to respond to my initial review came back with some excellent points. Not a place to spend an entire evening but if they have people working there that can respond intelligently to criticism, its worth a stop as it can only be on the upswing. WELL DONE!
